Nashville - Today, American Trucking Associations' Technology & Maintenance Council honored several industry professionals with a variety of awards for their important service to the council and the industry during the Council's 2026 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition.
"TMC strives to advance the professional standards for commercial vehicle maintenance in our industry and has done so for 70 years," said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. "We have leaders across our organization, but the technicians and executives we honor here set and raise the bar for excellence in this industry every day."
Bailey Stephenson, Alcoa Wheels; Bob Cornwell, ASE; Kristy Coffman, Mitchell 1; and Greg Matheson, The Lubrizol Corporation were honored as Recognized Associates.
Leonard Wheatley, FleetPro, Inc., was the recipient of TMC's Distinguished Service Provider Award.
In addition, TMC awarded the Excellence in Maintenance Supervision Award to Paul Snyder, Truck Fleet Management Services; the Gerri Murphy Membership Leadership Award to Peter Savage, Clarke Power Services, Inc.; and the 'Uncle' Darrell Hicks TMC Mentor Award to Kenneth Calhoun, Altec Industries. PITT OHIO was named the recipient of TMC's Corporate Engagement Achievement Award. Randy Obermeyer, Online Transport, Inc., received the Peggy Fisher Study Group Leadership Award.
In addition, the Council announced the graduation of its seventh group of candidates from the TMC of Tomorrow Leadership Development Program. The program is dedicated to developing future leaders of TMC and the transportation industry.
The Class of 2026 graduates include valedictorian Steve Smith, Hill International Trucks, as well as:
