Today, Rep. Lois Frankel released the following statement after Speaker Emerita Pelosi announced she will not seek re-election in 2026.
"I have had the honor and privilege to serve in Congress with Nancy Pelosi for the past 12 plus years. She has been a mentor, friend and role model for me," said Rep. Frankel. "Her grace, courage, perseverance, and compassion have uplifted millions of lives. She will leave an unmatched legacy in public service-one defined by historic leadership, tireless advocacy for working families, and an unwavering defense of our democracy. I congratulate her on more than 40 years of remarkable service to our country, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside her in her final year in Congress."
