The Town of Davie has complied a list of financial assistance resourced for furloughed federal workers residing within Davie. Please see below.
Town of Davie Utilities Customer Service:
The Town of Davie is helping furloughed federal workers by providing an extension and extend flexible payment arrangements on utility accounts to prevent service disconnections during the shutdown. If you currently receive a water bill, contact Utilities Customer Service at 954-797-1065.
Town of Davie Housing and Community Affairs:
The Town's Housing and Community Affairs is providing referral assistance on financial relief, food aide, and housing support. For more information, please call 954-797-1196.
Broward County Tax Collectors Office:
Davie property owners affected by shutdown can contact the Broward County Tax Collectors Office for assistance with their taxes by completing an installment application to lengthen the payment process until March 31, 2026 by calling 954-357-4829 or email [email protected] for more information. The office also provides a Homestead Tax Deferral Program to eligible homeowners to postpone paying a portion or all of their property taxes.
Broward County Food Assistance:
The Coordinating Council of Broward has a complete list of food pantry locations and feeding programs at ccbroward.org/snap-food-assistance-locations.
FPL Care to Share Program:
Florida Power and Light (FPL) provides emergency financial aid for electric bill payments to qualifying customers who are having trouble paying their electric bills due to sudden illness, unemployment, natural disasters, or other crises. Call 954-357-5025.
