BioClonal, a biotechnology company based in Zaragoza, Spain, continues to make progress in the development of its proprietary monoclonal antibody program focused on a target associated with Alzheimer's disease, one of the most pressing unmet medical needs worldwide.

The program is built upon BioClonal's proprietary antibody discovery technology, designed to overcome one of the major challenges in antibody generation: eliciting robust immune responses against complex or poorly immunogenic antigens. This capability enables the development of antibodies against targets that have traditionally been difficult to address using conventional approaches.

Alzheimer's disease affects millions of people globally and remains one of the greatest healthcare challenges associated with an ageing population. Despite recent advances in biologic therapies, there is still a significant need for innovative therapeutic approaches capable of improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

In addition to advancing its internal pipeline, BioClonal offers its technology platform to pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms and research organizations seeking antibody solutions for challenging therapeutic targets.

As part of its international growth strategy, the company will participate in BIO International Convention, the world's largest biotechnology partnering event. During the conference, BioClonal will engage with potential strategic partners interested in both its proprietary technology platform and collaboration opportunities related to its Alzheimer's disease program, including co-development and licensing agreements.

"Our goal is to demonstrate that antibodies can be generated against targets that have historically been considered difficult to address. We believe this capability can unlock new therapeutic opportunities not only in Alzheimer's disease but across a broad range of complex indications," said Paula Garfella, CEO of BioClonal.

Through these efforts, BioClonal continues to strengthen its position within the European biotechnology ecosystem, combining scientific innovation, international collaboration and technology development to help bring future therapies closer to patients.
