Las Vegas City Council To Recognize Local Fraternity Chapter For Work In The Community

A City Of Las Vegas Employee Committee Also To Be Recognized

The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the Theta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. at the June 3, 2026, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

Councilwoman Shondra Summers-Armstrong will recognize the local fraternity chapter for its work in the community. The Theta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. was chartered on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas June 5, 1976. Since then, the group has been a community partner and has mentored many youths over the years.

In addition, Councilwoman Kara Kelley will recognize the city of Las Vegas Employee LGBTQIA+ Committee for efforts to bring diversity to the city.

The council meeting will be broadcast live on city of Las Vegas TV, and on the city of Las Vegas TV YouTube channel.
