Combined, the new members bring more than a century of experience and success in a diverse range of businesses and industries.
The new members are: James Alibrandi '84, president of Interstate Electrical Services Corporation; Gina L. Coleman, president of Hartford Healthcare's Central Region; Jeffrey Hayman MBA'90, a global insurance board director, advisor, and investor; and Christopher Kmetz, vice president of quality at Pratt & Whitney.

Alibrandi helped turn Interstate Electrical Services into one of the largest contractors of its kind in New England, with more than 750 employees and offices in six states. He also received a 2025 Anchor Award, the University's most prestigious alumni honor.

Coleman, in addition to her progressive work at Hartford HealthCare, dedicates much of her time to serving local communities and providing mentorship and coaching to help develop tomorrow's leaders. She was recognized in 2024 and 2025 as one of Hartford Business Journal's Power 25 in Healthcare and among Becker's Hospital Review's 209 women hospital and health system presidents and CEOs to know in 2025.

Hayman, known for his passion for innovation and philanthropy, is involved in many advisory and investment relationships with companies immersed in the intersection of insurance, technology, and financial services.

Kmetz, prior to his return to Pratt & Whitney overseeing the quality of Pratt's products and services globally, served in a variety of top spots in high tech, including chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering for Carrier Corporation, and senior leadership roles within engineering at Pratt & Whitney.
The newly appointed Regents join the governing body responsible for providing skilled and conscientious leadership on a host of major policy and financial matters for the University. The new members' terms will run through June 30, 2028.
