APMA Participates in 2025 Alliance for Gout Awareness Stakeholder Meeting

APMA continues its partnership with the Alliance for Gout Awareness (AGA): On October 16, APMA joined fellow member organizations for the 2025 AGA Stakeholder Meeting in Washington, DC. The event brought together patient advocates, clinicians, researchers, and policy professionals to advance the coalition's mission of improving public understanding of gout and empowering patients to better manage the condition.

Participants discussed access barriers and explored collaborative approaches to strengthen awareness, education, and policy advocacy in 2026 and beyond. The meeting featured presentations on navigating the policy landscape and elevating advocates as well as updates from the Arthritis Foundation, the Gout Support Group of America, and the National Kidney Foundation, among others.

As AGA looks ahead to the 20th anniversary of Gout Awareness Day in 2026, APMA is proud to contribute to shared efforts that elevate patient voices and advance access to comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
