Award Winning BMI Songwriter Helps Raise Funds for LA Fire Relief

BMI partnered with the California Restaurant Foundation to provide the musical entertainment at a special fund-raising event at the legendary Greek Theater in Los Angeles that was organized to raise money to support restaurant workers who were displaced due to the LA fires. The "Grateful at the Greek" fundraiser featured a performance by BMI songwriter Nash Overstreet, the frontman for the band Hot Chelle Rae. Overstreet performed a selection of some of the band's biggest hits including "Tonight Tonight," "I Like it Like That" and "Honestly," along with a song from their upcoming album which will be released later this year. The Nashville native has written songs for the likes of Britney Spears, Meghan Trainor and Rachel Platten while collaborating with Taylor Swift, Mike Posner, and Gavin Degraw.

The California Restaurant Foundation's fund Restaurants Care provides hope and stability to food & beverage workers in California who are in crisis. In the past few months, Restaurants Care has provided close to one million dollars to LA-area hospitality workers whose livelihoods were impacted by the fires.
