ST. LOUIS - Drivers who use Interstate I-270 near Ladue Road should be aware that crews will close and shift several lanes overnight this week and next week.
Weather permitting, crews will close up to two additional northbound lanes on I-270 near Ladue (mile marker 13) overnight Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20. One lane closes at 8 p.m., with the second closing by 10 p.m. At least one northbound lane will remain open through the traffic shift. Those lanes reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. During the work, lanes will be shifted to the right, with the exit from northbound I-270 to Ladue will be better aligned to the interstate.
Next week, drivers on southbound I-270 can expect the same, with up to two additional southbound lanes closed overnight Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27 to shift traffic to the left. Again, at least one southbound lane remains open during work. Lanes reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. When work is complete, the lanes will be shifted left. The ramps between southbound I-270 and Ladue will remain open.
The work is part of the on-going project to replace the I-270 bridge over Conway Road and the widening of the I-270 bridge over Ladue Road. For more on the project, visit: https://www.modot.org/projects/interstate-270-bridge-replacement-conway-road-st-louis.
