NOTICE OF PASSAGE OF ORDINANCES

Notice is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Norwich held April 21, 2025, the following ordinances were duly adopted:

Ordinance Number 1869

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-28 OF THE NORWICH CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING THE FEE TO BE CHARGED TO COMMERCIAL HAULERS FOR THE DISPOSITION OF SOLID WASTE AND ANY OTHER MATERIALS COLLECTED IN NORWICH AND DISPOSED OF AT FACILITIES OPERATED BY THE SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT REGIONAL RESOURCE RECOVERY AUTHORITY.

Purpose: To increase the tip fee per ton charged to commercial haulers.

Ordinance Number 1870

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE NORWICH CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTIONS 4-2, 4-3 AND 4-5 CONCERNING FINES FOR STATE BUILDING CODE VIOLATIONS AND FEES FOR CONSTRUCTION PLAN REVIEW, BUILDING PERMITS, AND DEMOLITION PERMITS

Purpose : To amend fines for state building code violations and fees for construction plan review, building permits, and demolition permits.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE NORWICH CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING SECTION 8-23 CONCERNING FEES FOR FIRE MARSHAL PLAN REVIEW, PERMITS, AND INSPECTIONS

Purpose: To establish fees for fire marshal plan review, permits, and inspections.

Copies of said Ordinances are on file open to public inspection at the office of the City and Town Clerk.
