Rhythm Fest Debuts this May with Free Community Music Festival

OCALA, Fla. (March 10, 2026) - The City of Ocala invites the community to experience the inaugural Rhythm Fest, a free, family-friendly outdoor music festival taking place Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Webb Field, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd.

Rhythm Fest will bring an afternoon of live music, local vendors, food trucks and family activities to one of Ocala's most popular outdoor venues. The event is designed to celebrate music, culture and community while showcasing a diverse lineup of nationally recognized and emerging performers.

The Rhythm Fest lineup includes:

The Family Stones - Funk / Soul / R&B

The Family Stone is the only band officially authorized by Sly Stone to carry on the legacy of Sly and the Family Stone. Led be founding member and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Martini, the group continues to share the band's groundbreaking blend of funk, soul, rock, R&B and psychedelia. Powerhouse vocalist Phunne Stone, daughter of Cynthia Robinson and Sly Stone, brings a dynamic presence to the stage, honoring her family's musical roots while forging her own artistic path.

The Sensational Barnes Brothers - Gospel / Soul

The Sensational Barnes Brothers deliver a vibrant mix of gospel and soul, described by Pop Matters as "bridging the gap between the Soul Stirrers and Stax." Their music draws deeply from their family's musical lineage while appealing to modern audiences. The brothers are featured on Don Bryant's Grammy-nominated album Don't Give Up on Love and on several tracks from XOPA by Latin Grammy-nominated Making Movies. Their debut album, Nobody's Fault But My Own, was released under Bible and Tire Recording Co., with their first album of original material released in 2025.

Pharaohs of Funk - Jazz / Soul / Reggae Fusion

The Pharaohs of Funk is a traveling band that plays for weddings, festivals and galas. Bringing an experience like no other, Pho-Funk provides a musical atmosphere where people come together to be free in the heart, mind and spirit. We perform all over the south region, connecting audiences through music and harmony.

Ocala Steel Orchestra - Steel Pan Ensemble

Known for bringing vibrant Caribbean steel pan music to audiences throughout Central Florida, the Ocala Steel Orchestra delivers an energetic blend of traditional island rhythms and contemporary favorites. The ensemble showcases the unique sound of the steel pan through lively arrangements that celebrate Caribbean musical traditions while creating an upbeat and engaging live performance experience.

Admission to Rhythm Fest is free and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the performances throughout the afternoon.
