Do You Qualify for Property Tax Relief?

Idaho's Property Tax Reduction (or "Circuit Breaker") program offers up to $1,500 in reductions for eligible homeowners with a 2025 income of $39,130 or less.

Applicants must own a primary home, meet specific status requirements (age 65+, disabled, or widow/er), and apply between January 1 and April 15, 2026.

The Idaho 100% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran Property Tax Benefit reduces primary residence property taxes by up to $1,500 for qualified veterans. This program is not income-restricted and is available to those rated 100% service-connected disabled or paid at the 100% rate due to individual unemployability by the VA as of January 1st. Apply online through the Idaho State Tax Commission website or find the application and additional information here on the Ada County Assessor's Office website. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2026
