Water Street Closure Set For Sunday, Sept. 28, For Who Runs The World? Girls! 5K
Beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, S.W. Water Street will be closed between Harrison Street and Liberty Street. The closure is necessary for the Who Runs the World? Girls! Women's Only 5K, sponsored by Break The Tape.
Drivers should utilize S.W. Washington Street as a detour. Extra caution should be used near the 300 block of S.W. Water Street.
Parking Restrictions
- Parking restrictions will be in effect in the 300 block of S.W. Water Street from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Race Route
- The 5K will begin on the Rock Island Trail in the 300 block of S.W. Water Street. Participants will remain on the trail and return to the starting point of the course.
