SJSU’s Lucas College and Graduate School of Business Earns AACSB Accreditation Extension

In a region defined by innovation and global business leadership, maintaining the highest standards in business education is essential.

This summer, San José State University's Lucas College and Graduate School of Business earned reaccreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business ( AACSB International ), extending its accreditation for another six years and reaffirming its dedication to excellence in business education in Silicon Valley and beyond.

"The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school's dedication - not only to its students, alumni network and greater business community - but to society as a whole," said Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB in this press release .

Lucas College has been accredited by AACSB International, the world's preeminent accrediting body for business schools, since 1967. Today, it continues to uphold the rigorous standards that for decades have placed it among fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide.

Associate Dean of Faculty and Accreditation and Professor of Management Meg Virick said the reaccreditation reflects the college's ongoing pledge to continuous improvement and ensuring students receive a business education that meets globally recognized standards.

"Having led our AACSB reaccreditation effort, I can say with confidence that this achievement reflects years of dedication across our college," says Virick.

"Our faculty continually raise the bar in teaching, scholarship and student learning. Our staff and advisors keep our students and operations moving forward every day.
