Civil rights leader has vowed to "keep going and stand for justice, peace and dignity" in wake of former president's re-election

New York, NY (November 8, 2024) - Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), tomorrow will hold the first Saturday Action Rally at the NAN House of Justice since the re-election of former President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, Rev. Sharpton stood with a group of interfaith leaders at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul the Divine where he declared that "we must not become like the forces of darkness…we must show the light."

"The day after the election, I said that the battle was lost but that the war is not over," said Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of NAN. "We have an incoming president who wants to take us back to a time before the Civil Rights era, so this Saturday we are coming together at the House of Justice to regroup and reassess because we are all fully aware that there is a lot of work ahead of us."
