Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participate in AOT field visits to Si Sa Ket and Sa Kaeo provinces
On 14 November 2025, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) - Thailand's field visits to two incident sites, namely, Huay Thamariya, Kantharalak district, Si Sa Ket province, and Ban Nong Ya Kaew, Khok Sung district, Sa Kaeo province. The visits were organised by the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters.
The AOT members visiting Si Sa Ket province received briefings and observed the exact location where Thai soldiers were wounded after stepping on the landmines in Huay Thamariya on 10 November 2025, while AOT members visiting Sa Kaeo province inspected bunkers of Thai forces in Ban Nong Ya Kaew, which came under Cambodian fire on 12 November 2025. In addition, the AOT and accompanying officials met with forensic experts and spoke with local residents in the affected areas.
The purpose of these field visits were to inform the AOT of the facts on the ground and conduct on-site assessments of the situation, and in order for relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to gain insight and information for further action. Thailand has always acted based on facts, and adheres strictly to international principles, as well as transparency and sincerity, so that comprehensive and accurate information and perspectives are provided to the international community.
