Covington Highway Closed, Power Outages, and City Hall Closed
A large tree has blocked highway U.S. 278/Covington Highway near the American Legion. Georgia Power is aware of power outages throughout the city. City Hall is also affected by the power outages and is closed.
Please contact Georgia Power directly to report outages.
Stay tuned for updates as information becomes available and please be safe. Use caution when driving through the city and remember to treat non-working traffic lights as four-way stops. Please also stay away from downed power lines.
