NE Kansas - Today, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), kicked off the first day of his statewide "4 Corners, 50 Counties" tour, visiting multiple communities in Northeast Kansas to meet directly with Kansans and highlight the real-world benefits of the recently enacted Working Families Tax Cuts and support for rural healthcare providers.

At Nemaha Valley Community Hospital, Senator Marshall met with hospital leadership for a discussion on regional collaboration among area hospitals. Multiple hospital directions in Northeast Kansas have come together to share resources to better serve all patients and communities.

The Working Families Tax Cuts provide Kansas hospitals with $221.9 million through the Rural Health Transformation Fund to protect critical access hospitals, expand HSA options, and help hospitals in their efforts to continue to serve families across rural Kansas.

Senator Marshall stopped by the local Extension Office, where staff offer free tax help to seniors. Each year, staff help hundreds of area seniors prepare their taxes, saving them thousands in tax preparation fees.

Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, seniors now get a new $6,000 deduction, a bigger standard deduction, and more ways to lower their state and local taxes, allowing retirees to keep more of their Social Security and savings.

Midwest Products - Washington County

The Senator toured Midwest Construction Company, a regional concrete supplier serving North-Central Kansas and South-Central Nebraska, where he heard how their ready-mix plants support local building projects and rural development.

The tax cuts help Midwest Products invest in new equipment and facilities, expand research, and reduce costs to support local jobs and stronger communities
