NEA President Becky Pringle on the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson

WASHINGTON - National Education Association (NEA) President Becky Pringle today released the following statement on the passing of civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson:

"I am deeply saddened by the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson. Today, I celebrate the life and legacy of a pioneering giant who will be forever remembered as a pillar of justice for labor, education, and communities across this nation. Rev. Jackson lived a life committed to civil rights and economic justice for all people. His courage and compassion inspired millions.
