Veterans Day 2024 Service Changes: Parking, Trash, Recycling and More

The City of Frederick offices will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024, to observe Veteran's Day, and trash collection service will change as follows.

Trash Collection

Residential:

There will be NO trash collection service on Monday, November 11, 2024, in observance of the Veteran's Day Holiday.

  • If you normally set your household trash out on Sunday evening for Monday collection please set your trash out on Monday evening for Tuesday collection.
  • All other Trash routes are as scheduled.

Commercial Downtown Business District:

Commercial Business Trash Service:

  • Trash will be collected on a normal schedule.

Recycling

Commercial Business Recycling Service (not residential):

  • Recycling will not be collected on Monday, November 11, 2024. It will return to the normal schedule on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Yard Waste Collection Services:

There will be NO yard waste collection for NAC 6 & 7 on Monday, November 11, 2024.

NAC 6 & 7 yard waste collection will resume the regular schedule on Monday, November 18, 2024

Parking

No payment is required at City garages and meters on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Housing and Human Services

The Department of Housing & Human Services will be closed on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2024. The Community Table will be open per its normal schedule. The Food Banks will be closed.
