In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.
This week's featured pet is Chloe, a 4-year-old Rottweiler mix. She is a sweet girl who loves to be around people. She's a big girl and needs a family that can handle a whole lotta dog. She would likely prefer to be the only dog. She is selective of her doggy friends and is assertive with her interactions, which can lead to confrontation.
Chloe is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and is sterilized.
Anyone interested in Chloe can submit an application through the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on her picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. If approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for an in-person visit with Vesper.
