Colonel Mark Hall Reconfirmed as Director of State Police

CONCORD, NH - Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte congratulated Colonel Mark B. Hall of the New Hampshire State Police after the Executive Council confirmed him for another term as Director of the Division of State Police.

"Colonel Hall has led New Hampshire State Police with integrity and played a critical role in keeping our state the safest in the nation over his more than three decades in law enforcement," said Governor Ayotte. "I am grateful for his service to New Hampshire, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to keep dangerous criminals off our streets, make our roadways safer, and ensure we remain #1 for public safety."

"I'm deeply honored by the support of Governor Ayotte and the Executive Council in reappointing me as Director of the New Hampshire State Police," said Colonel Hall. "It's a privilege to continue leading our exceptional team that serves with unwavering professionalism and dedication. Together, we will build on our momentum by strengthening and expanding public safety initiatives, achieving justice for victims, and fostering community trust across the Granite State. I'm committed to upholding the highest standards of fairness, professionalism, and integrity as we work to keep everyone in New Hampshire safe."

"Colonel Hall's reappointment reflects his steadfast commitment to the people of New Hampshire," said New Hampshire Department of Safety Commissioner Robert Quinn. "Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership, a strong commitment to public safety, and an unwavering focus on strengthening our partnerships across the state. I'm grateful for his continued service as we build on the progress made under his direction."

Under Colonel Hall's leadership, the New Hampshire State Police has strengthened its impact on public safety through expanded highway safety initiatives and targeted enforcement operations. By prioritizing impaired driving patrols, aggressive driving interdiction, and high visibility enforcement on major corridors, the agency has increased its presence on state roadways and reduced serious and deadly crashes involving impaired and reckless operators. These efforts reflect a sustained commitment to saving lives and enhancing the safety of all Granite State residents and visitors.

Colonel Hall has also guided the organization through important advancements in recruitment and retention, supporting an increased presence of State Troopers throughout New Hampshire. He has also reinforced operational readiness by modernizing capabilities, strengthening training, and ensuring that Troopers are equipped to respond to evolving challenges statewide. Further, the State Police have enhanced coordination with local and federal law enforcement partners to ensure the Granite State remains one of the safest states in the nation.
