Perris Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for Target Store at Plaza de Perris

PERRIS, Calif. (July 22, 2026) - The City of Perris joined the Perris Valley Chamber of Commerce, Target representatives, community leaders, and local stakeholders on Tuesday, July 21, to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the new Target store at Plaza de Perris.

The ceremony marked the completion of one of the community's most anticipated retail developments and recognized Target's investment in the City of Perris. During the event, City officials presented Target with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of the company's commitment to serving Perris residents and contributing to the City's continued growth.

The new Target store represents a significant milestone for Perris, bringing expanded shopping opportunities closer to home while creating 166 new local jobs. The store officially opened to the public on Sunday, July 26.

"For many Perris residents, this has been years in the making," said Mayor Michael M. Vargas. "Target's investment is an investment in our community, and we're proud to welcome a company that will serve our residents while creating jobs and opportunity-led by a Perris High School graduate."

"This is a day many of us have been waiting for," said Mayor Pro Tem Malcolm Corona. "After years of anticipation, we're proud to officially welcome Target to Perris and celebrate another milestone in our city's growth."

The opening of Target at Plaza de Perris, located at 1688 N. Perris Blvd, represents another important step in the City's ongoing economic development efforts, bringing new retail options, quality employment opportunities, and continued investment to one of Southern California's fastest-growing communities.
