Police investigate motor vehicle collision involving E-scooter: C26-232227

On September 14, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Motor Vehicle Collision at Lake Crest Road and Waverley Street involving a 2010 Honda R-V and an E-scooter.

Attending Traffic Division officers learned that the E-scooter operator, a person in their late teens, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the CR-V, also in their late teens, remained on scene and was interviewed by investigators.

Through investigation, it was learned that the E-scooter operator was crossing Waverley Street at Lake Crest Road when they were struck by the southbound CR-V. The injured youth remains in hospital.

The Traffic Division continues to investigate.
