Follow-up Traffic-Parking Advisory: Possible LIRR Strike Postponed​

Dear Adelphi Community,

As of September 15, 2025, the potential Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) strike has been postponed, as several LIRR unions have requested the federal government's review of the dispute. Any possible service disruption is now expected to occur in 2026.

LIRR service is expected to continue without disruption, and Adelphi's Panther Express Shuttle Service will follow its regular schedule for the remainder of the Fall 2025 semester.
