History has a new address, and it lives inside Pioneer Gymnasium.
On Saturday, No. 2 Cal State East Bay Men's Basketball capped off a flawless regular season with a victory over UC Merced - finishing an astonishing 28-0 overall and a perfect 22-0 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.
"An undefeated regular season is something none of us will ever forget," said Head Coach Bryan Rooney." It also provides motivation as we head into the postseason to keep playing as long as we can. We are excited to keep creating memories together."
The mission continues in the CCAA Tournament at Kellogg Arena in Pomona this weekend. The Pioneers will face either Cal State Monterey Bay or Cal Poly Pomona in the semifinal round at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
And if they win, Pioneer Nation needs to roll deep for the championship game on Saturday. A chartered fan bus is heading to Pomona on March 7 to support the team. You must be a current student and register in advance to secure a seat. Spaces for that day are filling fast, so don't wait! Travel includes meals, a Pioneers t-shirt and a game ticket. Reserve your spot now and be part of this historic postseason journey.

Let's turn the postseason into a sea of Pioneer pride.
The CCAA has announced its 2025-26 men's basketball all-conference teams and individual award winners - and Cal State East Bay led the way.
The Pioneers claimed three of the conference's five major awards: Tyree Campbell was named CCAA Player of the Year, Josh Ijeh earned Defensive Player of the Year and Bryan Rooney was voted Coach of the Year - his second time receiving the honor.
Additionally, Campbell represented East Bay on the All-CCAA First Team, while Jaayden Bush and Ramsey Huff earned Second Team honors, giving the Pioneers three all-conference selections.
The Pioneers' perfect season is turning heads beyond campus. Local news outlets KTVU-FOX2 , KRON-4, NBC Bay Area, CBS-KPIX and the San Francisco Chronicle have all featured East Bay's historic run, adding to the buzz around Pioneer Basketball as it continues to get louder across the region.
