Proposals for EU regulations on securitization: Memorandum by Banca d'Italia

Banca d'Italia has published its Memorandum to the 14^th Committee (European Union Policies) of the Chamber of Deputies. The Memorandum focuses on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions as regards requirements for securitization exposures (COM/2025/825) and on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 of 12 December 2017 laying down a general framework for securitization and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardized securitization (COM/2025/826).
