In June 2026, 7,588 new enterprises were created, 1,033 enterprises were re-registered and 7,520 were de-registered.
The total number of VAT-registered enterprises increased by 1,101 or 0.1% compared to May 2026.
First registrations
In June 2026 first registrations increased by 34.6% in all sectors to June 2025. That is 1,949 more start-ups than last year.
Re-registrations
As for re-registrations, all sectors combined, we observe a increase by 53.0% compared to last year. This is an increase of 358 companies.
De-registrations
In June 2026, the number of de-registrations is 11.1% lower compared to June 2025. This is a decrease of 937 units.
Evolution of the population of VAT-registered units
In June 2026 we observe a 1.4% growth of the VAT-registered population over a year. The total population of VAT-registered units increased by 17,002 units compared to June 2025 and amounts to 1,215,958 enterprises.
