Oracle Supports Rural Texas Communities Through ResoureCare Partnership

West Texas is big sky country in the truest sense-vast, ruggedly beautiful, with seemingly endless horizons-but life within these immense geographical distances has its challenges. For many residents, seeing a doctor means a long drive, often taking time off work and coordinating childcare, before healthcare even begins.

ResourceCare has provided medical, dental, and behavioral health services to rural Texas communities for more than 30 years. Its model extends beyond clinical care to include case management and referrals, clothing and other essential items, access to nutritious food, and youth programs. Providers average eight years of tenure, enabling consistent care and strong relationships with patients and their families.

Oracle is proud to support ResourceCare to establish hygiene closets at each of its six locations. These closets will provide essential personal care items so patients can focus on their health and well-being, rather than the cost of everyday necessities.

"Providing confidence through care is a big part of what we do," says Mindy Ary, program director at ResourceCare. "Having access to vital resources-like basic hygiene items-can go a long way in easing daily pressures."

For patients traveling miles to visit a clinic, leaving with what they need-soap, shampoo, toothpaste, diapers-is part of being cared for completely. Efforts like this are a reminder that wellness is shaped by more than just clinical care. Social and environmental factors need to be taken into account too.

By working alongside organizations like ResoureCare, we can help expand access to essential resources and support communities in being healthier and stronger.

This support is one of Oracle's ongoing community investments in Shackelford County and across Texas.
