#AdvocacyMatters: Election Countdown

October 30, 2026 / #AdvocacyMatters

The November 3rd election is just days away, and we want to make sure you have everything you need for a successful voting experience.

If you plan to vote early in-person, you've only got a couple of days left to cast your ballot. In-person early voting ends this Sunday, November 1st.

If you're voting absentee and haven't yet returned your ballot, it's probably too late to mail it. Voters who have not yet returned their absentee ballots should plan to return them directly to their local Board of Elections. Ballots must be received by your County Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

If you plan to vote on Election Day, it's important to know your rights when it comes time to cast your ballot.

You can bring someone with you to the polling location to help you cast your ballot, but it cannot be your employer, an agent of their employer or union, or a candidate in the election. If you do not have someone to help you, two poll workers (one from each party) will come and assist you in completing your ballot. The 10-minute time limit for voting does not apply to voters with disabilities.

Curbside voting is available during both early voting and on Election Day for voters with disabilities who can travel to the polling location but are unable to enter the location. You can send another person into the polling location, and two election officials from opposite major parties will bring your ballot to your vehicle. You can vote from your car and return the completed ballot to the officials.

Other accommodations that are available include: audio ballots, braille and tactile lettering, zoom screen/large print text, screen/text color contrast, screen height or tilt adjustments, sip/puff navigation, and touch screen or push-button navigation.

Our Voter Hotline will be available the entire time the polls are open on Tuesday. If you have questions, or if you run into any issues trying to vote, please give our team a call. The hotline will open at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday at 614-466-7264 or 800-282-9181.
