State Afterschool Grant Application and Exemplar Training

Audience: Superintendents, Principals and Afterschool Directors

Join the Agency of Education on Wednesday, November 19 at 11:00 AM for in-depth training on the State Afterschool Grant applications. We will review the application itself and share exemplary responses from the previous competition. Learn what makes these responses stand out. There will also be time for audience questions. A recording of this and other grant review sessions will be available upon request for those unable to attend. Vermont 250th Art Exhibition Professional Learning Opportunity, December 2025

Audience: K-12 Visual Arts Educators, CTE Arts Educators, After School Directors, Administrators, Social Studies Educators, Arts Education Organizations, Adult Educators

Three free in-person professional learning sessions are offered in December for educators interested in integrating the Vermont 250th Art Exhibition into their coursework. Sessions run 9:00 - 3:00 PM and participants will receive a 6-hour professional learning certificate applicable toward re-licensure. Register using this form.

  • December 11 - Milton Artists' Guild, Milton (30 slots)
  • December 17 - Catamount Arts, St. Johnsbury (35 slots)
  • December 18 - River Gallery School, Brattleboro (30 slots)

The Vermont Agency of Education and Vermont 250th Commission invite students from all grade levels (K-12/CTE) and Adult Education learners to participate in the Vermont 250th Art Exhibition.

Behavioral Threat Assessment Office Hours

Audience: Current school Behavioral Threat Assessment team members

Behavioral Threat Assessment (BTA) open office hours are available throughout the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Please use this BTA Team Consultation Office Hours Meeting Link to join.

Behavioral Threat Assessment Workshops - December 9 and 10 - Registration Open

Audience: Current school Behavioral Threat Assessment team members

The Agency of Education, in partnership with the Vermont School Safety Center, is pleased to announce a series of upcoming Behavioral Threat Assessment (BTA) Team workshops, to be held on December 9 and 10. These workshops are designed to support current and future BTA teams in building and maintaining effective BTA programs. Sessions will be held in-person and will include a brief overview of the BTA process, as well as a full BTA case exercise. Please register via the December 2025 AOE BTA Workshop Registration Form.

Please note that these workshops are an optional, separate offering from the required annual BTA training.
