County Road 500 Paving Delayed due to Weather and Equipment Issues
La Plata County's paving project on County Road 500 has been delayed and is now expected to resume the week of October 19. Unexpected equipment repairs, combined with the severe weather forecast, have shifted the original construction schedule.
The project will repave 2.7 milesof County Road 500, improving long-term roadway quality, drainage, and safety for residents, visitors, and emergency responders. All associated culvert replacement work has already been completed.
La Plata County appreciates the community's patience as crews work to complete this important infrastructure improvement.
