Congressman Shri Thanedar Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against Attorney General Pam Bondi

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Shri Thanedar (MI-13) introduced articles of impeachment against Donald Trump's Attorney General, Pam Bondi, for the following charges:

Article I: Obstruction of Congress

Article II: Dereliction of Duty and Obstruction of Justice

Article III: Weaponization and Politicization of the Department of Justice

"By illegally withholding millions of Epstein Files after we passed a law requiring her to release all of them ahead of the designated deadline, Pam Bondi has disgraced herself and our country's entire Justice Department," said Congressman Thanedar.

"Protecting predators who abused children to appease Donald Trump is the most reprehensible thing that any Attorney General has ever done, which is why I'm introducing articles of impeachment against her. Her conduct is a spit in the face to survivors everywhere, and we cannot allow it to continue."

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, supported by Congressman Thanedar, required the Department of Justice to release all of the Epstein Files ahead of the 12/19/2025 deadline. Despite this, Bondi withheld millions of Epstein Files long after the deadline had passed. Approximately 2.5 million files remain unreleased as of 2/13/2026, with many of the files she withheld containing troubling accusations against Donald Trump and other members of his administration, putting Bondi in violation of the law.
