Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Southeast Regional Land Office (SERO), has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Fishhawk Charters doing business as (dba) Rocky Point Resort

PROJECT NAME: ADL 106062

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:

Petersburg, Alaska; more specifically 9.1-miles south of Petersburg James A. Johnson Airport.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:

C060S079E14; Section 14, Township 60 South, Range 79 East, Copper River Meridian

56.6733 N, -132.9355 W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:

On March 27th, 2025, DMLW received a renewal application for the continued use of a dock used for access to and from Rocky Point Resort, moorage for sport fishing boats, and gear storage.

The dock measures approximately 7-foot wide by 400-feet long and is secured to the tidelands by four standard 8-inch wood pilings. A majority of the dock grounds at low tide periods and only floats during high tides. The only hazardous materials present in the leasehold boundary are in the form of fuel contained on the fishing vessels moored at the dock.

REQUESTED TERM: 25 years

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
