The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $1,265,590 against 40 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 12 air quality, three industrial wastewater discharges, one multi-media, eleven municipal wastewater discharges, three petroleum storage tanks, and seven public water systems.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one industrial hazardous waste, one multi-media, and one water quality.
In addition, on March 24, the executive director approved penalties totaling $157,879 against 48 entities.
