Robinson Appointed to U.S. Service Academy Nominations Advisory Board

HARRISBURG - Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) has been selected by U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pennsylvania) to serve on his U.S. Service Academy Nominations Advisory Board, which helps identify and recommend outstanding young Pennsylvanians seeking appointments to the nation's military academies.

The advisory boards, divided between eastern and western Pennsylvania, are comprised of veterans, educators and civic leaders who will review applications, conduct interviews and make recommendations for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Robinson, a Marine Corps combat veteran who served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, said he looks forward to giving back by helping future military leaders begin their careers.

"Serving in the Marine Corps was the defining experience of my life," Robinson said. "I know firsthand the character and commitment it takes to succeed in uniform, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help guide and support young Pennsylvanians as they pursue this path of service."

Applicants seeking a nomination must meet each academy's admission requirements and secure a congressional nomination to be considered. More information about the process is available at mccormick.senate.gov.

Robinson has made supporting veterans, service members and their families a top priority in the state Senate, where he continues to champion policies that honor their service and improve their quality of life.
