USD News Minute: What you need to know this week at USD

This is your USD News Minute.

If you are looking to get involved at USD and in the local community, don't miss out on the Alcalá Bazaar taking place tomorrow from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Paseo de Colachis. The event is held at the beginning of each semester, featuring more than 250 involvement opportunities.

And entrepreneurs won't want to miss the kickoff session for the Fowler Business Concept Challenge - where students from majors from all schools develop their business ideas into pitch-ready presentations and compete for up to $45,000 in scholarships. The kickoff session is on Thursday from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Nexus Theater.

And tomorrow, September 16, you're invited to a special, on-campus premiere of the film Between the Mountain and the Sky ! This powerful award-winning documentary follows the life of Maggie Doyne and her journey in Nepal to ensure every child is safe, educated and loved. The screening is in partnership with the Karen and Tom Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness and Social Action. Doors open at 4:30 in the KIPJ Theatre. The event is free and open to all at USD, but registration is required.
