UW-Stevens Point faculty and staff recognized for excellence and achievement


The following University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point faculty and staff have been honored for excellence and achievement:

  • Natalie Cummings, Teaching Assistant Professor, voice, has been selected as a Wisconsin Teaching Fellows and Scholars (WTFS) Fellow, a distinction awarded to educators who demonstrate curiosity, interdisciplinary engagement, and a deep commitment to student learning. The Wisconsin Teaching Fellows and Scholars program is a yearlong professional development initiative through OPID, the Office of Professional and Instructional Development, in the Universities of Wisconsin system. Each UW institution selects one early career Fellow and one Scholar with more than ten years of teaching experience to participate.

  • Vice Chancellor for University Advancement Will Broussard has been recognized as a 2025 Almabase 50 Champion in Advancement.

  • College of Letters and Science Major Gifts Officer Amanda Gilman received the CASE District V Opportunity and Inclusion Award for 2025. The Opportunity and Inclusion Award recognizes an advancement professional who displays leadership in fostering inclusion and diversity within the profession, on their campus, and/or within the surrounding community.

  • Stacey Duellman, Program Director for the Center for Prevention and Health Promotion, has been selected by ACPA-College Student Educators International Senior-Level Community of Practice for the 2026 Senior-Level Professional Award. : The award is given to colleagues with a minimum of 10 years in the profession with progressively more responsible leadership roles who have demonstrated expertise in creating a campus environment that promotes student learning. Nominees demonstrate outstanding individual contributions to innovation and responsive services and/or programs that address varied and emerging needs of students, as well as provide significant leadership in addressing issues for their respective institution.

  • Art History Professor Cortney Chaffin recently served as keynote speaker at the Asian Culture Association in Naperville, IL during their Lunar New Year celebration and book drive. Chaffin's middle-grade book Fu Hao: China's Warrior Queen, was chosen as one of five to be distributed across 100 elementary schools in suburban Chicago this year. The non-profit organization was founded in 2021 in response to anti-Asian hate crimes, with the mission to promote an understanding and awareness of Asian cultures in their local communities and beyond.
