Boomers And Gen Xers Scramble Our Assumptions About Economic Misery

Gen X is facing mounting financial pressure: the generation now has the lowest consumer confidence of any age group, and 70% fear running out of money more than death, while 44% are not confident they can save enough for retirement. Those concerns are echoed in CFP Board's Lessons Learned: A Survey of American Gen Xers, which found that 95% of Gen Xers say financial regrets have cost them money, with 59% reporting stress and 40% reporting anxiety tied to those regrets.
