Equality California Announces Pro-Equality Candidate Endorsements for 2026 Legislative Elections

LOS ANGELES - Equality California, the nation's largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization announced the endorsements of eight pro-equality candidates running for federal and state legislative offices.

"Now more than ever, it is critical that we elect pro-LGBTQ+ leaders we trust to fight for our rights and stand firmly on the right side of history," said Executive Director Tony Hoang. "At a time when our community is facing coordinated attacks across the country, we need leaders who are clear and consistent in their support for LGBTQ+ people and who understand what is at stake. We are proud to endorse candidates who will stand up in Washington and Sacramento, push back against extremism, and work every day to protect the safety, health, and civil rights of LGBTQ+ people."

California State Senate:

California State Assembly:

  • Assembly District 42: Deborah Klein Lopez
  • Assembly District 65: Ayanna Davis
  • Assembly District 72: Chris Kluwe
