Boise State University enrollment is up 4.7% overall, or 1,269 students over last fall, primarily in degree-seeking undergraduates - for a total of 28,519 students for Fall 2025. Degree-seeking undergraduate enrollment saw an increase of 1,068 students or 5.2% over last year. First-time undergraduate student enrollment increased by 14.7% with 3,934 students enrolled, making this the largest incoming class in Boise State's history. Of the first-time undergraduates, 2,295 are from Idaho - making this also Boise State's largest incoming class of Idaho students.
"Boise State's continued growth shows that our approach, meeting students where they are and creating pathways to success, is resonating," said Interim President Jeremiah Shinn. "We have been intentional in recruiting Idaho students - positioning us to help meet Idaho's workforce development needs - and we are committed to making sure our graduates are the first and best choice for Idaho's jobs."
Notably, Boise State's enrollment is climbing at the same time the university is graduating record numbers of students. In 2024-25, 5,402 individuals completed a degree or certificate from Boise State with 4,033 of them completing a bachelor's degree, which is up nearly 2% over the prior year.
