Congratulations to students earning the HSED during 2025-26

Congratulations to Southwestern Community College's (SWCC's) 40 High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) graduates from the class of 2025-26, 13 of whom attended the annual HSED graduation held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the SWCC Performing Arts Center theater on the Creston campus.

The guest speaker for this year's graduation ceremony was Darla Helm, SWCC director of adult literacy. Helm is retiring this year, following many years of service to the college and to adult education and literacy.

Each year, SWCC offers High School Equivalency (HSE) classes throughout the college's region. These courses, offered in person and virtually, are designed to assist adults (ages 16 and older) who left high school before completing the requirements to receive their high school diploma.
