September 23rd, 2025 (Irvine, CA. and Oakland, CA.) - Vitamin A, the original sustainable swimwear brand, and a pioneer in eco-conscious design, today announced a Clean Out resale program that allows customers to resell gently-worn items for Vitamin A shopping credit. The program is powered by ThredUp's Resale-as-a-Service® (RaaS®),which enables the world's leading fashion brands and retailers to deliver customizable, scalable resale experiences to their customers. Vitamin A joins more than 50 other brands offering resale programs through RaaS, including J.Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, and Madewell.
"As Vitamin A celebrates our 25th anniversary this year, we're more committed than ever to building a more sustainable future for fashion," says Katie Dawley, Global Brand President of Vitamin A. "From the beginning, sustainability has been at the core of everything we do, from the materials we choose to how our pieces are made. This partnership with ThredUp gives our community a simple, impactful way to extend the life of their clothing, reduce waste, and earn credit toward consciously designed styles they'll love. It's a natural next step in our journey toward circular fashion," Dawley added.
Through the new program, customers can earn Vitamin A shopping credit for sending in gently-worn items. To participate, customers can generate a prepaid shipping label from vitaminaswim.thredup.com, fill any shippable box or bag with apparel, shoes, and accessories from any brand in their closet, and ship it to ThredUp for free. For items that sell on ThredUp, customers receive Vitamin A credit that can be used to shop online at https://www.vitaminaswim.com/.
"Vitamin A has long been a trailblazer in sustainable fashion, and we're proud to power their next chapter in circularity," said Alon Rotem, ThredUp Chief Strategy Officer. "By making it simple for customers to send in their pre-loved items for credit, Vitamin A is actively keeping well-made items out of landfills while meeting the growing demand for more sustainable fashion."
