The Deputy Minister’s participation in consultations within the framework of the SCO

On 24 April 2026, in Moscow, Idibek Kalandar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, took part in the regular consultations between the foreign ministries of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

During the consultations, the participants exchanged views on the joint efforts of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in countering security challenges and threats within the Organization, as well as on SCO-related international issues and the further improvement of its activities.

In his statement, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of further practical implementation of the earlier agreements and the enhancement of cooperation mechanisms in the aforementioned areas, in particular the active advancement of issues related to the establishment of the Anti-Drug Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Dushanbe.
