Twenty-sixth Annual Awards for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service

The U.S. District Court's Twenty-sixth Annual Awards for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service will take place on May 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the James Benton Parsons Memorial Courtroom (2525) of the Everett McKinley Dirksen Courthouse. Among the honorees are Brian L. Shaw and Steven Victor, Co-Chairs of the 2025 NCBJ Chicago Conference Opening Reception Committee, who arranged for excess funds from the conference in the amount of $40,251.57 to be donated to the Chicago Bar Foundation to help fund the Chicago Bankruptcy Court Help Desk.
They represent many firms and individuals who contributed to this generous gift benefiting the Chicago bankruptcy community.
