Pardon Our Dust at the Bellflower Aquatic Center

Residents visiting Thompson Park may have noticed construction activity around the outdoor pool at the Bellflower Aquatic Center. The City is currently working on repairs and improvements to the outdoor pool as part of a project that began with planned replastering.

As work progressed, crews identified additional repairs that need to be completed, including chemical room improvements, crack repairs and concrete work around the pool perimeter. Because the outdoor pool is more than 40 years old, some of these conditions were not visible until the pool was drained and construction began.

The City is working to address these issues thoroughly and will share additional updates as the project moves forward. Please note that the indoor pool at the Bellflower Aquatic Center remains open during construction. For information on programs offered at the Aquatic Center, click here.

Thank you for your patience as we make these important improvements to the Bellflower Aquatic Center at Thompson Park, helping ensure this valued community amenity can be enjoyed for years to come.
