Know Your Rights Resources Available for Residents

The City of Berwyn is sharing important information to ensure all residents know their rights when interacting with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

If you suspect possible ICE activity, or know someone who has been detained, you can call the Family Support Hotline at 1-855-435-7693.

Residents are reminded that they have the right to film police activity, the right to remain silent, the right to speak with an attorney, and the right to refuse to sign any documents. For a digital download of Know Your Rights cards, please visit: bit.ly/ICIRRCards.

This resource is being shared in partnership with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) to support and protect our community. It is part of the City of Berwyn's ongoing Know Your Rights outreach efforts taking place citywide.
