RESCHEDULED: Route 179 to close for short period March 24…

JEFFERSON CITY , M o . - The planned closure of Missouri Route 179 is now scheduled for March 2 4 . C onstruction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close Route 179 at Rock Creek, just north of the junction with Cole County Route Z, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to remove trees. Motorists will need to use an alternate route.

This work is associated with a project to replace the bridge deck later this year. The start date for the bridge deck replacement project ha s yet to be determined , but all work is expected to be completed by Dec. 1 , 2026.
