Minister Ahmed Shiyam Meets with Representatives of the Maldives Seafood Processors and Exporters Association (MSPEA)

Minister Ahmed Shiyam has met with representatives of the Maldives Seafood Processors and Exporters Association (MSPEA).

The discussions were focused on the difficulties being faced by the Maldivian fisheries sector due to the escalating global oil prices, arising from the ongoing instability in the Middle East region.

The Minister further apprised the attendees of the initiatives being pursued by the Government to mitigate the adverse impacts of the prevailing situation on the fisheries sector.

In recognition of the cooperation and support extended by stakeholders of the fisheries industry to the Government during this challenging period, Minister Shiyam extended his sincere appreciation and gratitude to all concerned parties.
