NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (April 24, 2025) - Join the City of New Brunswick and millions of people worldwide who will wear denim on April 30 to participate in Denim Day, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about sexual violence and supporting survivors.
Denim Day encourages individuals to wear jeans not just for fashion, but as a symbol of solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. The campaign serves as a platform to educate people about the prevalence of sexual violence and challenge harmful misconceptions that perpetuate it. The observance takes place during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is April.
The City supports the efforts of national, state, and local partners, as well as encourages every citizen to understand the realities and root causes of sexual violence, support survivors in culturally specific ways, and join prevention efforts.
By donning denim on April 30, individuals not only express solidarity with survivors but also contribute to the ongoing conversation about sexual violence prevention and advocacy.
